What is the MAIL Program?

The word MAIL here denotes Mobility & Automobile Innovation Lab. It is a corporate accelerator that is designed to support startups to convert their ideas into real-time applications. Under the MAIL program, Maruti Suzuki selects the top 5 startups in its cohort after screening and evaluating the applications. These selected startups get mentored by startup industry experts (international and domestic) and get a chance to work on an actual usage situation designated by Maruti Suzuki.

These startups have been selected as part of the 3rd Cohort:-

Rank Startups Field
1 Clean Slate Technologies Asset/people tracking in closed environments using computer vision
2 Peer Robotics Human collaborative robots
3 Vicara Solution to deliver immersive experience using hand gestures
4 Hyper Reality Customer engagement solution using AR – VR
5 URJA IOT solution to monitor energy utilization at machine/device level

The domain specialists at Maruti Suzuki will mentor and guide these startups to create the right product fit by conducting several discussions. Moreover, the top three startups: Clean Slate Technologies from Bengaluru, Peer Robotics from Gurgaon, and Vicara from Bengaluru will also get a chance to work on paid projects with Maruti Suzuki for actual business use of their technologies. They will also be entitled to other privileges associated with the program.

The auto industry is extremely dynamic and faces new challenges frequently. The lookout for new technological aids to assist the industry and continue working efficiently is an ever-evolving task. Our flagship MAIL programme is now in its 3rd cohort and in each round we come across several innovative ideas that solve real-life industrial challenges. MAIL programme focusses on offering a platform to these early stage startups where they can translate their big ideas into business solutions. Besides, this they get a unique opportunity to get the idea validated and approved by Maruti Suzuki’s domain experts. We are excited to partner with the shortlisted startups and be a part of their growth story. We wish them the very best and hope this exposure gives them scalability.
