Maruti Suzuki Cars Become Dearer By Up To Rs 34,000

India's leading passenger car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki has increased the prices of its entire model line-up by up to Rs 34,000. The increased costs of raw materials are the core reason behind the price hike move. Here are the model-wise revised price list details: –

  • Among all Maruti Suzuki Arena offerings, the prices of Ertiga MPV have undergone the highest price inflation of up to Rs 34,000, followed by the Swift hatchback which has seen a price hike of Rs 30,000.
  • Prices of entry-level Alto has been increased by up to Rs 19,000, whereas the WagonR & Celerio have witnessed price increments of up to Rs 23,200 & Rs 19,000 respectively.
  • The prices of S-Presso, on the other hand, remained the same for the base & top-spec petrol trims, only the mid-spec petrol and CNG variants have experienced a price jump.

Prices Unchanged

 

  • For the Nexa range, the prices for the S-Cross remain the same, whereas the Baleno & Ciaz have observed a price increment of up to Rs 26,398 and Rs 26,311 respectively. However, the Baleno Delta CVT trim has become cheaper by Rs 112. 
  • While the asking price of XL6's manual trims has remained unchanged, the automatic trims become dearer by up to Rs 10,000. 
  • The price increment for Ignis compact hatchback ranges between Rs 3,000 to Rs 11,000.

On the other news, Maruti is gearing up to launch the next-generation version of Alto and Celerio hatchbacks. The brand will also introduce the facelifted Swift and the BS6 1.5L diesel engine pretty soon.
