Kia Sonet And Seltos Got More Expensive

Soon after bringing the Seltos X-Line Edition in the Indian market, Kia has now revised the prices of its SUV range that comprises the Sonet and Seltos. However, its flagship offering, the Carnival MPV, is untouched by the price hike move.

1. New Kia Sonet Prices: – 

The Kia Sonet is available in six variants: HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+, and GTX+. It comes with three engine options: a 1.2-litre petrol (83PS/115Nm) with 5-speed manual gearbox, a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol (120PS/172Nm) with either a 6-speed iMT (intelligent manual transmission) or a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch automatic), and a 1.5-litre diesel (up to 115PS/250Nm) with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic.

Prices of the Kia Sonet have been increased by up to Rs 20,000. With this, it now ranges from Rs 6.89 lakh to Rs 13.55 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

2. New Kia Seltos Prices: – 

Similar to its younger sibling, the Kia Seltos also comes in two broads trims: – HT Line and GT Line. The HT Line trim is further divided into five variants (HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, and HTX+), while the GT-Line trim has only two sub-variants: – GTX(O) and GTX+. Besides, there's also a range-topping X-Line Edition that is based on the GTX+ variant. 

Powering the Kia Seltos are the same three engine options as the Hyundai Creta: a 1.5-litre petrol (115PS/144Nm), a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol (140PS/242Nm), and a 1.5-litre diesel (115PS/250Nm).

As evident from the above tables, the prices of Kia Seltos's base-spec HTE 1.5-litre petrol and top-spec X-Line edition remains unchanged. That said, the Korean SUV continues to be priced between Rs 9.95 lakh and Rs 18.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
