Kia Seltos Diesel Reintroduced With Manual Gearbox From Rs 12 Lakh

On the customers’ demand, Kia India has reintroduced the manual gearbox option with the Seltos diesel variants, priced from Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). With this, the Seltos diesel is now available with three transmission choices, including the existing 6-speed iMT (intelligent manual transmission) and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. It’s important to note that the Sonet diesel also retained the same powertrain option during the facelift introduction.

The Korean marque has offered the Seltos diesel manual in five variants, starting from HTE trim. Here’s a look at the complete price list of Kia Seltos’ diesel lineup: –

Kia Seltos Diesel Variants Price List

It’s worth noting that Kia has priced the diesel-manual variants of the Seltos identically the same as its iMT trims.

Powering the Kia Seltos diesel is a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder unit producing 116PS of maximum power and 250Nm of peak torque. You can also have the Seltos with 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol (115PS/144Nm) with manual or CVT or 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol (160PS/253Nm) with iMT or DCT automatic.

Apart from the introduction of a conventional manual gearbox, the Kia Seltos has remained unchanged. It continues to get features like dual10.25-inch displays, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, connected car technology, BOSE sound system, panoramic sunroof, wireless smart charger, air purifier, ambient lighting, heads-up display, ventilated front seats, dual-zone AC, six airbags, traction control, hill assist, electronic stability control, and Level-2 ADAS suite.

Currently, Kia retails the Seltos between Rs 10.90 lakh and Rs 20.30 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), placing it against the Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Hyundai Creta, Toyota Hyryder, Maruti Grand Vitara, and MG Astor.
