Debuted at the 2022 Auto Expo, Kia India has finally launched its second EV in the country, the Kia EV9. The most anticipated EV comes in a sole GT Line variant at a price tag of Rs 1.30 crore (ex-showroom).
Kia EV9 – Design, Dimensions and Platform
- The EV9 is Kia’s first 3-row offering based on the E-GMP platform. It measures 5010mm in length, with a wheelbase of roughly 3100mm.
- It stands 1755mm in height and 1980mm in width and boasts a ground clearance of 198mm.
- Based on the “Opposite United” design philosophy, the EV9 features a digital tiger face upfront, complemented by vertically oriented star-map headlamps, giving it a futuristic appearance.
- Kia has provided sharply defined character lines for its brawny wheel arches and the shoulder line that lends the EV9 a powerful and commanding look. Further increasing its beefy appeal are the giant alloy wheels with square-shaped elements and chunky body cladding.
- Similar to the front, the rear end also gets a muscular profile, with a vertically oriented LED taillight that stretches from the top of the D-pillar to its rugged bumper, giving it a distinctly futuristic look.
