Kia India has announced that it will increase the prices of its all mass-market cars by up to 3 per cent starting April 1, 2024. This will be the carmaker’s first price hike in 2024. Kia has attributed the increase in commodity prices, adverse exchange rates, and rising input costs as the key reasons for the price hike move.
Currently, Kia India has four models in its India lineup. These include Sonet (sub-4m SUV), Seltos (mid-size SUV), Carens (MPV) and EV6 (electric crossover). Here’s a look at their current price range: –
Models | Price Range |
Kia Sonet | Rs 7.99 lakh to Rs 15.69 lakh |
Kia Seltos | Rs 10.99 lakh to Rs 20.30 lakh |
Kia Carens | Rs 10.45 lakh to Rs 19.45 lakh |
Kia EV6 | Rs 60.95 lakh to Rs 65.95 lakh |
Prices of the Kia EV6 will remain unchanged.

Commenting on this decision, Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar, National Head of sales and Marketing at Kia India, said, “At Kia, we consistently strive to deliver premium and technologically advanced products to our esteemed customers. However, due to the continuous increase in commodity prices, adverse exchange rate and rising input cost, we are compelled to implement a partial price hike. The company is absorbing a significant portion of the increase, allowing customers to continue driving their favourite Kia cars without a major dent in their pockets”.
In other news, Kia is expected to launch its EV9 flagship SUV in India this year. The Korean marque is also expected to bring the new-gen Carnival to our shores.
