Jaguar I-Pace Electric SUV Launched In India, Prices Start From Rs 1.06 Crore

Jaguar has launched its first all-electric offering, the I-Pace in the Indian market. Offered in three variants, the Jaguar I-Pace will be available as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). Here are the variant-wise prices: –

Jaguar I-Pace – Powertrain & Drive Range

The Jaguar I-Pace is powered by two electric motors (one on each axle) drawing their charge from a 90kWh battery pack and delivering a WLTP (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure) claimed range of 470 kilometers on a full charge. The electric motors can produce a combined power output of 400PS and a peak torque of 696Nm. It gets an AWD drivetrain and can sprint from 0-100kmph in just 4.8 seconds before touching a top speed of 200kmph.

The Jaguar I-Pace supports DC fast charging of up to 60kW which can charge the battery from 0-100% in simply 55 minutes. The brand also offers a 7.4 kW AC charger and an optional 11kW wall box charger with the SUV. The latter takes approximately 12.9 hours to juice it up from 0-100 percent. Besides this, buyers can also charge their vehicle at Jaguar's outlets that will also be equipped with a fast charger. In fact, the Jaguar has an upper hand in terms of charging network, thanks to its partnership with Tata Power which has 200+ charging stations across 23+ major cities of the country, including Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Pune. 

Jaguar I-Pace – Features

In terms of features, the fully-loaded trim of the i-PACE comes equipped with premium techs like Matrix LED headlights, LED tail lamps, 19-inch alloy wheels, flush outer door handles, auto-dimming and heated ORVMs, powered & gesture-controlled tailgate, a 10-inch touchscreen Pivi Pro infotainment system with Android Auto & Apple Carplay, ‘InControl’ connected-car tech, digital driver’s display, two-zone climate control, ambient lighting, ‘Windsor’ leather sport seats, an 825W 16-speaker Meridian sound system, 16-way powered adjustable front seats with ventilation & memory function, a head-up display, adaptive cruise control, torque vectoring, lane-keep assist, a 360-degree camera, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, and six airbags, etc. 

Further, buyers can also opt for optional extra goodies like four-zone climate control, air suspension, sports seats with bolstering, an ionising air purifier with PM2.5 filtration, a digital rear-view mirror, and the black or carbon fiber pack, which comes with individual design finishes.   

Colors Options

The I-Pace pure electric SUV is available in twelve exterior shades, classified into three categories: – 

1. Sold Finish: – Fuji White, Caldera Red.

2. Metallic Finish: – Santorini Black, Yulong White, Indus Silver, Firenze Red, Caesium Blue, Borasco Grey, Eiger Grey, and Portofino Blue.

3. Premium Metallic Finish: – Farallon Pearl Black and Aruba.

Warranty 

Jaguar is offering a complimentary 5-year service package and 5 years of roadside assistance, along with the standard 8 year/1.6 lakh kilometers battery warranty.

Competitors

In the luxury EV segment, the new Jaguar I-Pace is positioned against the Mercedes-Benz EQC (Rs 1.04 crore) and the upcoming Audi e-Tron.
