Continuing its association with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the fourth consecutive year, Tata Motors has announced that the all-new Safari flagship SUV will be the Official Partner for VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. For the people not in know, the 2021 IPL Twenty20 cricket league will begin on 9th April in Chennai and will be played across six major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, followed by the finals being played in Ahmedabad at Narendra Modi Stadium. Last year, Tata Altroz was the official partner of the tournament.
Being the official partner, Tata Motors will display the new Safari in all stadiums where the IPL matches will be played. And like the previous years, the IPL matches will play host to the exciting Super Striker Awards in which the batsman with the highest strike rate of the match will take home the much sought-after Safari Super Striker Trophy along with a prize of INR 1,00,000.

About all-new Tata Safari
The all-new Tata Safari was launched in February this year. Based on the OMEGA ARC platform, it is essentially a three-row version of the Harrier mid-sized SUV. The Safari is available in six trims: XE, XM, XT, XT+, XZ, and XZ+ and can be had either in 6 or in 7-seater configurations. It is powered by the Harrier’s 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine that makes out 170PS and 350Nm. The motor gets the choice of a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The new Safari is priced from Rs 14.69 lakh to Rs 21.45 lakh (introductory ex-showroom, Delhi). In the Indian market, it is positioned against the Mahindra XUV500, MG Hector Plus, and the upcoming Hyundai Alcazar.
