Hyundai Creta Electric Spied Testing; Interior Revealed

The electric version of the Hyundai Creta has been undergoing extensive testing for a long time. And recently, we’ve got our hands on its clear images showcasing its exterior and interior.

  • The Hyundai Creta Electric looks similar to its existing ICE version, both inside and outside. However, it gets a different instrument cluster and a smaller size infotainment system.

  • The dashboard layout is identical to the ongoing model. However, the central console has been tweaked slightly, featuring a rotary dial instead of a conventional gear selector. Keen eyes could also notice an additional stalk behind the steering wheel.
  • Other visible notable bits include push-button start, a 4-spoke steering wheel with audio & telephony controls, auto-dimming IRVM, auto AC, electronic parking brakes and more.
  • While the technical details are scarce at the moment, it is expected to offer at least a 40kWh battery pack with a range of over 400 kilometres. With this, the brand will target a wider section of the audience.
  • It will be positioned below the Kona Electric in Hyundai’s existing vehicle lineup.

As electric vehicles gain popularity, Tata and MG currently dominate the segment. However, more automotive companies are anticipated to introduce their new EVs in the future. For Hyundai, Creta Electric holds immense potential to enter the mass-market segment. Anticipate the Creta Electric to launch in India by 2025 in a fully redesigned form from its prototype version.
