MG Windsor Became India’s Most Selling EV In CY2025

The electric vehicle segment is rapidly growing in the country, with multiple brands offering a range of products. JSW MG Motor continues to lead this space with the Windsor EV being the highest-selling electric vehicle (EV) in the country in CY2025.

With 46,735 units sold in 2025, the Windsor has set a new benchmark, becoming the most successful EV ever sold by a single OEM in a calendar year in India. The MG Windsor recorded the highest month-on-month sales consistently throughout CY2025, averaging close to 4,000 units per month. Its strong momentum was further reflected in over 20% growth in Q4 2025 compared to Q4 2024, highlighting sustained consumer demand.

Driven by Windsor’s performance, MG’s EV sales surged by 111% in CY2025 compared to CY2024, while the brand ended the year with 19% overall growth. MG states that the demand remained strong not just in Tier I cities but also across non-metros and emerging markets.

Positioned as a family-friendly electric offering, the MG Windsor has resonated with buyers through its spacious cabin, comfort-focused design, and feature-rich interior, while delivering a refined driving experience. The model has also emerged as one of the most awarded EVs in the country.
