2026 Tata Punch Facelift – What To Expect?

New Petrol Engine Confirmed

Tata has recently teased the Punch Facelift with a turbocharged engine. While details are still under the wraps, it is expected to get the same 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that powers the Nexon and Altroz Racer.

Updated Exterior

Revealed by the official teasers, the Punch will receive a completely reworked front facia, featuring a slimmer grille, new LED DRLs, and a new vertically-stacked headlamp cluster similar to the Punch EV. It will also get a larger air dam, along with a redone bumper with a silver faux skid plate; all of these provide the Punch a more aggressive appearance.

Moving on to the sides and rear, it will get new 16-inch alloy wheels, a new connected tail lamp cluster with smoked effect, and a redesigned bumper. The teaser also show the car in a new blue shade, suggesting an updated colour palette as well.

The SUV also gets a factory-fitted CNG kit, featuring dual-cylinder technology to ensure you get usable boot space without compromising on the efficiency front.

Price and Rivals

We expect Tata Motors to price the Punch facelift from around Rs 5.50 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it against the Hyundai Exter, Citroen C3, Maruti Suzuki Ignis and select variants of Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
