Diesel-Powered Mahindra SUVs Still In Demand; Petrol Gaining Ground

  • The Scorpio lineup remains diesel-heavy, with over 90% of buyers opting for diesel. Despite an overall drop in sales compared to last year, diesel demand remains strong. The Scorpio N is available with both 2.2-litre diesel and 2-litre turbo-petrol engines, while the Scorpio Classic is diesel-only.
  • Diesel demand for the Thar has dropped from 90% last year in Feb to 78.85% in Feb 2025, with petrol variants gaining traction.
