Volkswagen Tiguan R Line Launch Date Revealed

A few days ago, Ashish Gupta, the brand director of Volkswagen India, confirmed the launch of the Tiguan R Line and the Golf GTI for the Indian market. Now, launch date for the Tiguan R Line has been confirmed. This upcoming performance SUV will be launched on April 14. It will be brought to the Indian shores via the CBU route.

For those unaware, the Tiguan R-Line is a sportier version of the new-gen Tiguan that features some cosmetic upgrades over the standard model such as aggressively styled bumpers, R-Line badged gloss black grille, sportier alloys, sportier side skirts, sports seats, R-Line specific steering and stainless steel pedals.

Globally, the Tiguan R Line is available with three engine options: a 2-litre turbo-petrol mill, a 1.5-litre plug-in hybrid petrol and a 2-litre diesel mill. However, the Indian spec version is likely to be offered only with the 265PS 2-litre turbo-petrol engine, paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox and an all-wheel-drive (AWD) option.
