The Tiguan R-Line is a sportier version of the new-gen Tiguan SUV. It features cosmetic upgrades, a refreshed body style, and a new interior theme. Under the hood, it retains the 2-litre turbo-petrol mill, producing 265PS, paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox and an all-wheel-drive (AWD) option. The international version is also available with multiple other powertrain options, including a plug-in hybrid and diesel mill. However, these are unlikely to make it to the Indian market.

Currently, the VW Tiguan is priced at Rs 38.17 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. Expect the upcoming Tiguan R-Line to carry a significant premium over the existing model.
