Continental Sets Up A New Surface Solutions Plant In Pune

Continental has inaugurated its new greenfield surface solutions plant in Pune. Spread over 149,000 square feet, this new facility will manufacture premium surface materials for car interiors and two-wheeler seats, largely catering to the Indian market.

This production plant has been set up with investments of approximately Rs 200 Crore and is Continental’s 16th surface solutions plant globally that has an initial annual capacity of 5 million square meters of surface material that can be further scaled up to 10 million square meters.

Continental will produce primarily interior surface materials like Acella Eco and Acella Lux with the assurance of state-of-the-art quality, while the eco-friendly foam foil Yorn and Yorn Light materials will also be produced in the near future.
