Compared to Tiguan's previous model (discontinued in April 2020), the facelifted Tiguan will come solely with a petrol engine, whereas the pre-facelift model was a diesel-only offering. That said, the new Tiguan SUV will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that is proficient enough in producing 190PS/320Nm. The engine will come mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that will send the power to all four wheels with an all-wheel drivetrain.
As for exterior changes, the facelifted Tiguan gets a redesigned front facia, featuring a new three-slatted chrome grille, dual-barrel LED matrix IQ headlamps and redesigned front bumper. Changes on the sides are restricted to the revised 18-inch alloy wheels, whereas at the back, it gets updated tail lamps and rear bumper. Besides, the 2021 Tiguan will also debut Volkswagen's new logo in our country.
