Following the launch of the xDrive20d xLine diesel variant for the X3 in March this year, BMW now has launched its M40i variant in India at Rs 86.60 lakh (ex-showroom).

What Powers The BMW X3 M40i?
- Underneath the bonnet of the BMW X3 M40i lies a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine, churning out an impressive power output of 365PS and 500Nm of peak twist.
- It comes paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission propelling all four wheels of the SUV via BMW’s xDrive all-wheel drive system, allowing it to do the 0 to 100 kmph run in just 4.1 seconds before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph.
- As per the carmaker, this SUV is claimed to return a fuel efficiency of 10.49 kmpl.
Exterior Design
- Being a sportier version of the X3, this bimmer gets the BMW’s M Sport body kit package as standard which includes M-specific kidney grilles with slats finished in black, aggressively designed bumpers with larger vents, M-specific side mirrors and dual exhausts as well as 20-inch M light dual-tone alloy wheels.
- The X3 M40i also features black-finished window surrounds and roof rails, as well as red-painted brake callipers.
- BMW offers this model in Brooklyn Grey and Black Sapphire colours.
