Bajaj Chetak Got Pricier Once Again

Bajaj Chetak electric scooter has registered another price hike for the second consecutive month. This time the price hike is more significant, witnessing a maximum jump of Rs 27,620. Here are the variant-wise revised prices: –

It is important to note that the updated pricing will be applicable to all bookings made on 13th & 14th April 2021. For the people not in know, the bookings for Bajaj Chetak were reponed on the auspicious day of Gudi Padwa i.e., on 13th April 2021 on a first come first serve basis. However, the bookings were closed within 48 hours due to high demand. Bajaj is currently accepting registrations for future bookings. 

Bajaj Chetak electric scooter was originally launched at Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base Urbane trim. And with the second price hike, it now ranges from Rs 1.42 lakh to Rs 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom). At this price, the Chetak e-scooter still undercuts its biggest rival, Ather 450X (Rs 1.56 lakh inclusive FAME II sub., Rs 1,84,425 excluding subsidiaries)# by a huge margin. 

This metal body electric scooter is powered by a 4.08kWh BLDC motor, churning out 16Nm of peak torque. It comes with a 3kWH IP67 rated lithium-ion battery pack that offers a real-world range of over 95km in Eco mode and over 85km in the Sport mode. The brand offers a 3-year/50,000km standard warranty with the battery, and its life is claimed to last around 70,000km. As of now, the Bajaj Chetak is only available in Bengaluru and Pune. The brand will soon expand its availability to other cities as well.
