In the first quarter of 2025, we’ve seen various unveils and launches, including the all-new Kia Syros, facelifted Kia EV6, Skoda Kylaq, Volvo XC90 facelift, updated 3 Series LWB, Land Cruiser 300 GR-S, BYD Sealion 7, Audi RS Q8 Performance, Hyundai Creta Electric, and tons of special editions. And as we’re heading into a new quarter and financial year, April is set to maintain the excitement with a lineup of new launches and unveilings: –
Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line

Volkswagen India is all set to launch the Tiguan R-Line performance SUV on April 14, 2025. Pre-launch bookings are already underway, and we expect it to be priced at around Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom). Powering it will be a 2-litre turbocharged petrol engine, paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic and an all-wheel drive system.
VW has recently announced that the Tiguan R-Line will be offered in six monotone colours.
New-Gen Skoda Kodiaq

The new-gen Skoda Koduaq will hit Indian shores on April 16, 2025. The updated SUV features a refreshed design inside and out, along with a host of new features. Based on the brand’s latest “Modern Solid” design philosophy, the new Kodiaq features a more aggressive styling than its predecessor with plenty of sharp cuts & creases. Changes inside the cabin will be more noticeable thanks to the all-new multi-layered dashboard layout.
Globally, Skoda offers the new-gen Kodiaq with multiple powertrains, including a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol with mild-hybrid tech, a 2-litre petrol with AWD, and a 2-litre diesel offered with both FWD and AWD systems. However, the India-spec Kodiaq is expected to retain the 2-litre petrol engine like its previous model that comes mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic unit.

Tata Curvv Dark Edition
Following the footsteps of its sibling SUVs, the Tata Curvv will soon receive the Dark Edition treatment for a stealthier appearance. Similar to the Dark Edition of Nexon, Harrier, and Safari, the Curvv #Dark will also flaunt an all-black colour scheme throughout its exterior and interior.
Mechanically, the coupe SUV will remain unchanged. Expect it to command a premium of around Rs 40,000 over its regular version.
Citroen Basalt Dark Edition
In order to gain the attention of the buyers, Citroen is expected to launch the Basalt Dark Edition by the end of April. It is likely to feature an all-black paint scheme, along with dark treatment for the grille, ORVMs and alloys. Expect the interior to also be draped in dark shades.

MG Cyberster and M9

JSW MG India has recently commenced pre-launch bookings for the Cyberster and M9 for a token amount of Rs 50,000. The former is an electric performance sports car, while the latter is an electric luxury MPV. Both of these upcoming premium EVs will be sold through MG Select premium showrooms.
Powering the MG Cyberster will be a 77 kWH battery pack paired with a 510PS/725Nm dual-motor setup. On the other hand, the M9 will get a 90 kWh battery that will propel the 244PS front-axle mounted motor. Their claimed range are rated at 443km and 430km, respectively.
Kia Carens Facelift
Kia India is expected to introduce the Carens facelift this month, with rumours suggesting that it will be sold alongside its existing version. It is likely to feature a revised outer design, along with substantial changes inside the cabi, including a refreshed dashboard layout, material upgrades, new switchgear, and a new steering wheel. Additionally, it is expected to get added features like rear ventilated seats, level 2 ADAS and a 360-degree camera.
2025 BMW 2 Series

Globally revealed in October 2024, the new-gen BMW 2 Series will be launched on April 20, 2025. The entry-level sedan features major design updates, increased dimensions and a refreshed cabin. It is expected to retain the current 2-litre turbo-petrol and 2-litre diesel engine options. Expect it to be priced at around Rs 46 lakh (ex-showroom).
