Ferrari 849 Testarossa Unveiled In India

Ferrari, the Italian supercar maker, has introduced the 849 Testarossa for the Indian market. It’s the brand’s latest flagship series-production supercar that replaces the SF90 Stradale in the brand’s global lineup.

Here, check out the key highlights of this Italian retro futuristic supercar:-

What’s Underneath?

  • At the heart of the Ferrari 849 Testarossa is a 830PS 4-litre twin turbocharged V8 petrol engine, paired with plug-in-hybrid system comprising a 7.45 kWh battery and three electric motors, two on the front axle and one between the engine and the gearbox at the rear, producing a combined output of a massive 1,050PS. It also claims a pure electric range of 16–25 km.
  • The power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
  • Ferrari claims it can complete the century sprint in under 2.3 seconds before attaining an electronically limited top speed of 330 kmph.

Retro Inspiration with Modern Touch

  • The new Ferrari 849 Testarossa pays homage to the brand’s heritage while embracing modern aerodynamic detailing.
  • Upfront, the car features L-shaped LED headlamps connected by a gloss black strip across the bonnet. However, the key highlight are its muscular wheel arches and sharply flowing roof that aggresivelly merges from the centre section into the twin-tail architecture at the rear.
  • Furthermore, its flying buttresses and prominent air intakes that channel air towards the mid-mounted engine provides it an aggressive appearance.
  • Rounding off the overall dramatic appearance are the sculpted rear bumper which integrates a pair of round exhaust pipes at the centre.
