Mercedes-Benz V-Class Launched At Rs 1.40 Crore

Buyers eyeing the chauffeur-driven Mercedes-Benz V-Class, we have some good news for you. The luxury MPV from the German marque has finally hit our shores via the CKD routes. It will be locally assembled at the brand’s Chakan plant in Pune.

It is offered in a single variant, available with both petrol and diesel powertrains. Globally, Mercedes also offers it in an all-electric avatar called EQV; however, it is unlikely to be launched in India anytime soon.

Mercedes-Benz V-Class: Engine Specifications

As mentioned above, the V-Class is offered with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol mill is a 2-litre turbocharged unit paired with a mild-hybrid system that produces 231PS max power (+20PS boost from the mild-hybrid system) and 370Nm of torque (+200Nm boost). On the other hand, it also comes with a 2-litre oil burner rated at 237PS and 500Nm. For power transmission, both engine options get a 9-speed torque converter automatic unit.

Mercedes-Benz V-Class: Exterior Design and Dimensions

  • Measuring 5140mm in length with a wheelbase of 3430mm, the V-Class boasts a slab-sided, boxy profile.
  • It features a huge gloss black grille upfront and large bi-projector headlamps with sleek LED DRLs. It also gets an AMG-line body kit for added appeal.
  • Sitting on dual-tone 18-inch diamond-cut alloys, the side profile of the MPV looks very neat and clean. Its huge size and large glass panels emphasise its space inside the cabin. The German automaker has offered it with electric sliding doors and green-tinted glass all around.
  • Towards the rear, the design is upright and straight, featuring vertically stacked LED tail lamps, a large rear windshield, and a roof spoiler that rounds off the overall look nicely.

Colour Options

Mercedes has offered the V-Class in five colour options, namely Sodalite Blue, Obsidian Black, Rock Crystal White, High-tech Silver, and Alpine Grey.

Being a Mercedes-Benz vehicle, the V-Class screams luxury. It comes in two seating configurations: 4-seater and 6-seater, with massive recliner chairs in the middle row, large cushions, and adjustable leg rests for utmost comfort. The 6-seater version is offered in two layouts: one with all front-facing seats and the other with middle-row seats facing the third-row seats.
