2025 Toyota Fortuner and Legender – What’s New?

As mentioned here, the 2025 Fortuner and Legender get a new 48V mild-hybrid technology, paired with a 2.8-litre diesel engine and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. It produces 204PS of max power and 400Nm of peak torque, the same as the non-hybrid version.

The hybrid setup gets a small battery pack and an electric motor to help the engine with a quick boost of 16PS and 65Nm for an effortless drive. With the inclusion of an idle start/stop technology, it aids in achieving better fuel economy, especially in city usage. The battery also recharges when you slow down, so it always has enough power.

Design-wise, the hybrid variants remain unchanged, except for the new “Neo Drive” badge on the tailgate. Regarding features, the SUV now comes equipped with a 360-degree camera and wireless charger, both are dealer-level fitments. Unfortunately, Toyota has removed the ventilated seat function for mild-hybrid variants.
