Mercedes-Benz EQS Electric SUV Launched At Rs 1.41 Crore

Mercedes-Benz has launched the EQS SUV in India at a starting price of ₹1.41 crore (ex-showroom). This is the brand’s sixth electric vehicle in India and is positioned between the EQE SUV and the Maybach EQS SUV.

The EQS SUV is available in a single 580 4Matic variant, featuring an all-wheel drive and a 122kWh battery, producing 544hp and 858Nm of torque. It offers a range of 809km on a single charge and can go from 0-100kph in 4.7 seconds. Fast charging with a 200kW DC charger can take the battery from 10-80% in 31 minutes.

On the exterior, the SUV features a blacked-out grille and LED light bar up front, with toned-down chrome elements compared to the Maybach version. The SUV rolls on 21-inch AMG wheels. Inside, it offers a Hyperscreen with multiple displays, soft-close doors, illuminated running boards, a 15-speaker Burmester sound system, five-zone climate control, memory functioned seats, active ambient lighting system, puddle lamps, dual 11.6-inch rear entertainment screens, nine airbags, ADAS Level 2, and more.

Mercedes-Benz EQS interior

Priced competitively, the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV is just ₹2 lakh more expensive than the EQE SUV and rivals the BMW iX and Audi Q8 e-tron.
