Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 Electric SUV Launched At Rs 2.25 Cr

Mercedes-Benz India has launched the Maybach EQS electric SUV for Rs 2.25 crore (ex-showroom), making it the second most expensive electric SUV in India, following the Lotus Eletre. This also marks the debut of the Maybach brand in the electric segment. It has no direct rival in the Indian market.

The Mercedes Maybach EQS stands apart from the regular EQS SUV with exclusive Maybach design elements, upgraded features, and advanced technology. Design-wise, the Maybach EQS 680 blends Mercedes’ EQ electric design with the luxury of the Maybach line. It features a signature Maybach grille with vertical chrome slats, while the headlights come from the EQ family.

From the side, it resembles the standard EQS SUV but adds premium touches like flush door handles, 21-inch forged alloy wheels, and a ‘Maybach’ badge on the C-pillars. At the rear, a chrome-detailed bumper enhances its upscale look.

It comes in five dual-tone colour options, including High-tech Silver/Nautic Blue, Satin Brown/Onyx Black, and Obsidian Black/Kalahari Gold.

However, it includes unique Maybach touches like a custom steering wheel and Maybach-branded metal pedals. In the rear, you’ll find individual lounge seats with 11.6-inch displays for each passenger, along with optional add-ons like a cooling compartment, silver-plated champagne goblets, and folding tables.

Other features include a triple-screen setup (touchscreen, passenger screen, and digital driver display), dual panoramic sunroofs, wireless chargers for both rows, and electrically adjustable seats with memory, heating, and ventilation for all four seats. Gesture controls allow you to operate the touchscreen, sunroof, and doors.

For safety, the Maybach EQS 680 is equipped with 11 airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, TPMS, and level 2 ADAS with features like lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control.
