Nissan Magnite debuted in the sub-4-meter SUV segment in December 2020 at an introductory price range of Rs 4.99 lakh to Rs 9.59 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). In January 2021, the brand has increased its base variant XE's prices by up to Rs 50,000. Now, ending the introductory price phase, the Japanese carmaker has risen the prices of turbocharged petrol variants by Rs 30,000. Here’s a look at the variant-wise revised pricing: –

Prices of all the turbocharged petrol variants have been uniformly increased by Rs 30,000, whereas the naturally aspirated variants’ prices remain unaltered. With this, the Nissan Magnite now ranges between Rs 5.49 lakh to Rs 9.89 lakh (ex-showroom). After Renault Kiger (Rs 5.45 – 9.72 lakh), it’s the second most affordable SUV in its segment. The brand has so far received over 40,000 bookings and delivered over 6582 units, with 4,244 vehicles sold just in February 2021. To meet the huge demand, Nissan has ramped up Magnite's production at its Chennai plant. It is working at full capacity with three shifts to bring down the waiting period, which is currently up to 8 months in selected cities.

The value-for-money proposition of this Nissan SUV is the key factor of its huge success in the Indian market. The brand has equipped the Magnite with a few class-leading features such as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a 360-degree camera. It also gets LED headlamps with L-shaped LED DRLs, dual-tone alloy wheels, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Nissan Connect connected car tech, a 7-inch fully digital instrument cluster, multifunction steering wheel, engine start/stop, auto AC with rear AC vents, tyre pressure monitoring system, four airbags, ABS with EBD, a rearview camera with parking guideline, voice recognition control, etc. Further, buyers could also get a premium JBL sound system, air purifier, ambient mood lighting, wireless mobile charger as optional accessories.
Powering the Nissan Magnite is a choice of 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol (72PS/96Nm) and 1.0-litre turbocharged (100PS/upto 160Nm) turbo petrol engine options. While the former unit comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox only, the latter can be had with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission.
