MG Rolls Out Anniversary Offers On Hector SUV In August 2026

Launched in 2019, the MG Hector SUV has completed seven years in India. To celebrate this occasion, the carmaker has announced a special Anniversary Programme for customers purchasing the Hector mid-size SUV during August 2026. Under this scheme, MG will be offering limited-period offers of up to Rs 60,000, including exchange benefits, loyalty rewards, corporate benefits, and anniversary discounts.

About MG Hector SUV

MG gave the Hector a facelift update in December 2025, introducing subtle design changes, new colour options and added features to freshen things up. It comes equipped with amenities like a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system with gesture control, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected car tech, Infinity sound system, panoramic sunroof, automatic LED headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, 8-colour ambient lighting, auto-dimming IRVM, powered & ventilated front seats, 7-inch driver’s display, wireless smartphone charger, air purifier, powered tailgate, cruise control and 360-degree camera.

Passengers’ safety is ensured by six airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, front & rear parking sensors, ESC, hill assist, and a level-2 ADAS.

Mechanically, the MG Hector comes with both petrol and diesel engine options. The gasoline mill is a 1.5-litre turbocharged unit (143PS/250Nm) paired with 6-speed manual and CVT automatic transmissions, while the oil burner is a 2-litre turbocharged mill (170PS/350Nm), mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. However, it is worth noting that the diesel engine is exclusive to the Hector Plus Sharp Pro (O) 7-seater variant, priced at Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).

Speaking of the competition, the Hector SUV takes on the likes of the Tata Harrier & Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, Jeep Compass and Mahindra XUV 7XO.
