The Skoda Slavia, which carries forward the legacy of the Rapid, has finally entered a new chapter with the introduction of its mid-life facelift update. It brings a refreshed design, new features, and a more sophisticated automatic transmission. Interested customers can now pre-book the sedan.

2026 Skoda Slavia Facelift – What’s New?

Exterior

  • Skoda has made subtle design enhancements to its exterior to make it look more upmarket and premium.
  • To start with, the 2026 Slavia receives a new & more commanding butterfly grille, flanked by LED headlamps, which are slimmer and sharper now, and the LED DRLs are connected by a chrome stripe running through the grille. A similar design element was recently seen in the Kushaq facelift as well.
  • The front bumper looks cleaner, featuring redesigned fog lamp housings and air intakes.
  • The silhouette of the 2026 Skoda Slavia remains the same as the outgoing model, but the newly designed 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels provide it with a fresher appearance.
  • Unlike the front, the rear remains largely unchanged, featuring the same C-shaped LED tail lamps with new lighting elements connected by a new black applique in a carbon fibre-like finish, with the “SKODA” wordmark giving the car a more contemporary look.

Monte-Carlo Exclusivity

  • Similar to the Skoda Kushaq, the Monte Carlo Edition is likely to become a part of the standard variant lineup.
  • Compared to the other variants, it features a few standout styling elements such as an all-black grille with red inserts, blacked-out roof & side mirrors, red accents on the brake callipers, and signature badging, adding to its exclusivity.

Interior and Features

  • Inside, the 2026 Skoda Slavia looks pleasant, thanks to the dual-tone black and beige theme that gives it a premium and airy feel. However, if you’re found of a darker theme, you still have the option for that in the Monte Carlo variant.
  • The dashboard layout remains unchanged; however, the overall finish is expected to be improved.
  • Regarding features, the facelifted Slavia gets a new user interface for the infotainment system with Google cloud-powered AI assistant features.
  • It also gets a larger 10.3-inch digital driver’s display, 360-degree camera setup, and a rear seat massage function for added convenience.

New Automatic Gearbox Option

  • The 2026 Skoda Slavia facelift retains the same engine options as the outgoing model, comprising a 1-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol (115PS/178Nm) and a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol (150PS/250Nm) unit with Active Cylinder Technology (ACT).
  • While the latter comes paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, the 1-litre mill now receives a new 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission, replacing the earlier 6-speed unit for smoother shifts, improved driving comfort and better fuel economy. Besides, it retains the 6-speed manual gearbox.
