2026 KTM 390 Duke and 390 Adventure Launched With New 350cc Engine

After updating the Triumph’s 400cc lineup, Bajaj Auto, which is also a strategic partner and stakeholder in KTM, has updated the 390 Duke and 390 Adventure with a new & downsized 349cc engine. This has been done to benefit these bikes from the lower 18% GST slab, making them more accessible to a wider set of buyers.

ModelEx-Showroom Price
KTM 390 DukeRs 2.77 lakh
KTM 390 AdventureRs 2.81 lakh
  • The new 349cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine is essentially a downsized version of KTM’s 399cc engine, which produces 41PS of max power at 8,600rpm and 33.5Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. That’s 4.5PS and 5.5Nm less than the 399cc unit. It comes paired with a 6-speed transmission.
  • Apart from the new engine, all other aspects of these motorcycles, including the wheelbase, ground clearance, and features, remain unchanged.
  • KTM has also introduced two new colour options for the 390 Duke – Electronic Orange and Atlantic Blue, while the Ebony Black hue will now be called “Gun Metal Grey”.
  • The KTM 390 Adventure is available with the existing two colour options: Electronic Orange and Ceramic White.
  • Both bikes continue to offer the same set of features, comprising a 5-inch TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, SMS/call alerts, multiple riding modes, switchable dual-channel cornering ABS, switchable traction control, and a bidirectional quickshifter.

KTM 390 Adventure S (399cc)Rs 3,97,234

Author’s Take

KTM’s latest update appears to be a well-thought-out move to keep its 390 range more affordable after the GST 2.0 reforms. At the same time, keeping the 399cc variants on sale will cater to enthusiasts seeking a more performance-oriented experience.
