2025 MG Hector Facelift Launched; Check Prices Here

The MG Hector has finally received the much needed facelift update, with prices ranging between Rs 11.99 lakh to Rs 19.49 lakh (ex-showroom). With this, it is now up to Rs 2 lakh more affordable than before.

As of now, MG has only announced prices for the petrol variants, while the diesel range will be introduced next month.

2025 MG Hector Facelift – What’s New?

For 2025, the MG Hector has undergone subtle design change and receives some new features. The brand has also introduced new colour schemes for the SUV.

Exterior

  • Starting with the exterior, changes are minor compared to its previous iteration. Having said that, the updated SUV continues to get a chrome-finished hexagonal grille of the same size, albiet with a new honeycomb-like slats replacing the diamond-shaped patterns, giving it a more imposing look.
  • Design of the air dam has also been revised.
  • While the silhouette and rear profile of the SUV remains unchanged, it gets redesigned 18-inch alloy wheels.

New Colours

MG has introduced two new colour options for the SUV – Celadon Blue and Pearl White, joining the Glaze Red, Starry Black and Aurora Silver in the palette.

Refreshed Cabin with New Features

  • The MG Hector (5-seater version) now boasts a new dual-tone Ice Grey cabin theme, while the bigger 6/7-seater Hector Plus comes with a dual-tone Urban Tan theme.
  • MG has introduced iSwipe touch gesture control technology for the 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This allows the front passenger to adjust the climate with 2 fingers and control audio using 3 fingers.
  • The infotainment also receives an upgraded 10GB RAM for a smoother user experience.

Other Features

Aside from the above additions, the Hector and Hector Plus continue to get amenities like rain-sensing wipers, 8-colour ambient lighting, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected car tech, Infinity sound system, auto-dimming IRVM, panoramic sunroof, powered & ventilated front seats, 7-inch driver’s display, wireless smartphone charger, air purifier, powered tailgate, cruise control and 360-degree camera.

Passengers’ safety is ensured by six airbags, ESC, tyre pressure moitoring system, front & rear parking sensors, and a level-2 ADAS.

2025 MG Hector Engine Options

Mechanically, the MG Hector Facelift retain the same engine and gearbox options as the previous version. However, as of now, the SUV will only be offered with a 1.5-litre petrol engine (143PS/250Nm) paired with 6-speed manual and CVT automatic transmissions, while the diesel engine be introduced later in 2026.

Competiton Check

The Hector rivals the Tata Harrier and Safari, Mahindra Scorpio N and soon-to-be-facelifted XUV700 (XUV 7XO), bookings of which has already been commenced.
