In addition to launching the Altroz Racer, Tata Motors has also upgraded the standard Altroz with new features and variants. The mid-size premium hatch receives two new higher-spec variants – XZ Lux and XZ+S Lux. Besides, the XZ+ OS variant has also been upgraded.

2024 Tata Altroz – What’s New?
With the variant rejig, the Tata Altros now packs a host of new features that will enhance your overall ownership experience.
- XZ Lux – The new XZ Lux variant gets all the features of the XZ trim, along with a 10.25-inch floating infotainment system, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, and a 360-degree camera.
- XZ+ S Lux – The new XZ+ S Lux variant receives six airbags, a 10.25-inch floating infotainment system, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto over the XZ+ S variant.
- XZ+OS – The upgraded XZ+ OS variant gets all the features of the XZ+ S Lux variant, along with an air purifier and connected car technology.
Compared to the newly launched Altroz Racer, the upgraded standard Altroz still lacks leatherette seats and front ventilated seats.
Altroz iTurbo Discontinued
The Tata Altroz will continue to offer its existing engine options: an 88hp, 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 90hp, 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine, with the petrol variant also available with an optional CNG kit.
With the launch of the Altroz Racer, the 110hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, previously available in the i-Turbo variants, has been discontinued. The standard Altroz offers a 5-speed manual transmission and an optional 7-speed dual-clutch automatic for the petrol engine.
