After updating the Urbane variant of the Chetak electric scooter last month, Bajaj Auto has now launched the upgraded version of its Premium variant in India. Similar to the Urbane variant, the Chetak Premium is also available in two sub-variants: Standard and TecPac. While the former costs Rs 1.35 lakh, the latter is priced at Rs 1.44 lakh.

2024 Bajaj Chetak Premium – What’s New?
For 2024, the top-spec Premium variant of the Chetak e-scooter receives a new 5-inch coloured TFT rider’s display that comes with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation assist, music control, and call/SMS alerts. However, it’s worth noting that these features are limited to just TecPac trim, whereas the Standard variant continues to get a monotone display. The TecPac variant also gets a hill hold assist function and sequential blinkers for added convenience and safety.
Design-wise, the Bajaj Chetak remain unchanged, save for the blacked-out treatment in the headlamps, indicator and alloy wheel surrounds, offering a subtle refresh. The other notable features of the Chetak Premium comprise tamper alerts, OTA updates, vehicle health information, and a smart key fob for easy access.

What Powers The Bajaj Chetak Premium?
Powering the Bajaj Chetak Premium variant is a 3.2kWh battery pack that now offers an increased range of 127 kilometres on a single charge and has a top speed of 73 mph. It also has two riding modes – Eco and Sport- along with a reverse mode.
The Chetak Premium comes with a 650W onboard charger that takes up to 4 hrs 30 mins to fully charge the battery.
Colour Options
Bajaj offers the 2024 Chetak Premium in three colour options: Indigo Blue, Hazelnut, and Brooklyn Black.
Competitors
In the long-range electric scooter segment, the 2024 Bajaj Chetak faces competition from the Ola S1 Pro, Ather 450X, Simple One and TVS iQube.
