Toyota Hilux – Design and Features

Exterior and Dimensions

Based on the same IVM ladder-frame chassis as the Toyota Innova Crysta and Fortuner, the Hilux will come in a sole double-cab body style. It measures 5,3255mm in length, 1,855mm in width, and 1,815mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 3,085mm. It offers a ground clearance of 216mm.

Design-wise, the Toyota Hilux’s silhouette looks quite similar to the Fortuner SUV till C-pillar. It looks robust and powerful from the outside. Upfront, it houses a sharp chrome garnished radiator grille, flanked by the LED projector headlamps. Its sporty black inserts for the fog lamps and silver skid plate take up the sporty quotient. There is also prominent cladding along the bottom edge of the Hilux that further enhances its overall appearance.

Interior

The Hilux is pretty attractive from the inside as well. Though it shares lots of elements with Fortuner, its dashboard has a distinctive layout. Its all-black theme with rich leather upholstery and aperture give a plush feel to the cabin.

The power will be transferred to all four wheels via a 6-speed manual (standard) and an optional torque converter automatic unit.
