Renault Kiger RXT CVT Discontinued In India

  • A few days ago, Renault slashed the prices of the RXT (O) manual variant of the Kiger by Rs 25,000, and now, the French automaker has discontinued the SUV’s RXT CVT automatic variant.
  • The discontinuation of the Renault Kiger RXT CVT variant means that the range-topping RXZ trim is now the only option for those looking for a CVT automatic, which is priced at Rs 10,99,990 and Rs 11,22,990 (both prices, ex-showroom) for the dual-tone version.
  • For those who aren’t, the CVT transmission is only offered with the Renault Kiger’s 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that makes 100PS and 160Nm. This engine is also available with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
  • Renault also offers the Kiger with a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that makes 72PS and 96Nm. It can be had with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT.
