Earlier this month, Honda launched the Elevate SUV in India. Initially, the carmaker drew attention with the SUV’s competitive pricing, and now the carmaker has orchestrated a grand delivery event in Chennai, where over 200 Elevates were handed over to their respective customer in a day. Previously, Honda also held another mega delivery event in Hyderabad, delivering over 100 units of the Elevate.

Engine and Transmissions
To jog your memory, the Honda Elevate is a mid-size SUV that shares its platform and powertrain with the Honda City. It gets City’s 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, i-VTEC petrol engine that produces 121PS of max power and 145Nm of max twist. It comes mated to a 6-speed manual and CVT automatic transmission options.

Compared to the City, the Honda Elevate skips the strong-hybrid powertrain. However, it will receive an all-electric powertrain by 2026.
Variants
Honda offers the Elevate in four variants: SV, V, VX, and ZX. The top-spec VX and ZX variants are currently most in demand, commanding a waiting period of up to six months.
