Mahindra XUV 7XO (XUV700 Facelift): What To Expect?

While Mahindra is yet to reveal design details of the XUV 7XO, the teaser has provided us with a glimpse of its front design, featuring a gloss black grille with vertically stacked silver slats and a redesigned front headlamp. While the side profile of the upgraded SUV is expected to remain unchanged, it is likely to get newly designed alloy wheels.

At the rear, it is likely to feature a new set of LED wraparound tail lamps similar to the XEV 9S (its electric counterpart), along with a revised tailgate with ‘XUV 7XO’ badging.

Dimensionally, the SUV is expected to remain unchanged.

We also expect the addition of a host of new features, including a powered co-passenger seat, ventilated rear seats, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos, an augmented-reality heads-up display (HUD), powered BOSS mode, and a sliding function for rear seats.

It will continue to retain the same powertrain options as the current-spec model – a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol (up to 200PS/380Nm) and a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel mill (up to 185PS/450Nm), paired with either a 6-speed manual or. 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Both front-wheel-drive (FWD) and rear-wheel-drive (RWD) options will be offered.

Competition Check

The XUV 7XO will continue to be pitted against the Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus.
