Powertrain

At the heart of the 2023 Hero Karizma XMR is an all-new 210cc, 4-valve, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine that produces 25.5PS of peak power at 9250 rpm and 20.4Nm of max torque at 7250 rpm.

The bike comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with an assist & slipper clutch, which decreases rear-wheel skidding during aggressive downshifting and reduces clutch lever effort during gear shifts.

Underpinnings

Hero has underpinned the new-gen Karizma XMR on a steel trellis frame, which is the first for any Hero bike. The trellis frames are generally light in weight and have a high strength-to-weight ratio, thus providing excellent structural rigidity.

Regarding the suspension duties, the bike gets a conventional telescopic fork up front and a 6-step preload adjustable monoshock at the rear.

For braking, it features 300mm and 240mm discs at the front and rear, respectively, assisted by a dual-channel Antilock Braking System (ABS).

For features, it is packed with an adjustable windshield, dual projector LED headlamp with H-shaped LED DRL, an LED taillight, clip-on-handlebars, sportier split seat, spoked alloy wheels, illuminated switchgear, USB charging port and digital rider’s display with Bluetooth connectivity & turn-by-turn navigation support.

Competitors

The 2023 Hero Karizma XMR 210 locks horns with the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 (Rs 1.92 – 2.06 lakh) and Bajaj Pulsar RS200 (Rs 1.72 lakh).
