Ather Rizta Crosses 2 Lakh Sales Milestone; Here’s Why It Is So Popular

The Ather Rizta has achieved a significant milestone of crossing 2 lakh sales in the country since its launch in April 2024. Priced between Rs 1.15 – 1.56 lakh (ex-showroom), the scooter has played a substantial role in boosting the brand’s growth in the country. It currently accounts for over 70% of total brand sales.

Ather Rizta: What Makes It Popular?

With Rizta, Ather Energy cracked the code for what everyday Indian families truly want from an EV. Compared to the 450 series, which is a sporty scooter targeted for urban buyers, the Rizta is a more practical, comfort-oriented, family-friendly scooter. It comes with a large seat, has generously large underseat storage and offers a smoother ride, all of these without compromising on range and tech. This approach broadened Ather’s appeal and allowed the brand to reach a wider set of audience.

Why Ather Rizta is so popular among buyers?

Key Factors Behind Rizta’s Popularity

  1. A Truly Family Scooter: The Rizta stands out because it’s built around comfort and usability. It comes with the longest and widest seat in the segment.
  2. Practical Traits: Ather loaded the Rizta with clever, useful features like 34-litre underseat storage, low-floorboard and practical riding stance, AI-based SkidControl for safer braking, reverse mode for tight parking spaces, limp mode, and optional accessories like frunk and smart Halo helmet.
  3. Refined Performance: The Rizta focuses on linear acceleration, low motor noise, riding comfort and high stability at speeds.
  4. Strong Range: The Rizta has a true range of 105km for the 2.9 kWh variant and 125 km for the 3.7 kWh battery trim.
  5. Brand Reputation and Reliability: Ather has built its brand around solid build quality, high reliability, strong precision and a growing dealership & service network across the nation.

Competition Check

The Ather Rizta faces competition from the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, and Ola S1 Pro.
