Okinawa Okhi90 Electric Scooter: All You Need To Know About

Okinawa Autotech yesterday launched its new flagship electric scooter ‘Okhi90’ at Rs 1,21,866 (ex-showroom pan-India, including FAME II subsidy). Bookings for the EV are now underway, while the test rides will begin at authorized Okinawa dealerships from next week, and deliveries are set to commence by May 2022. If you are also planning to buy this new electric scooter, here’s everything that you need to know about: –

– Design and Underpinnings: The Okhi90 has a very unique design, featuring a massive 16-inch alloy wheel upfront, giving it a high ground clearance and a bold stance. Otherwise, it has a very uncluttered and minimalistic styling. Adding to the premium appeal of the scooter are the all-LED lighting system, aluminium swingarm and chrome elements on the side panels. Moreover, it also features an enormous 40-liters of underseat storage. Underpinnings include a telescopic front fork, dual shock absorbers at the rear, disc brake at both ends with the combined braking system (CBS).

Features: – Being a flagship model, the Okinawa Okhi90 comes loaded up to the brim, with features like a fully digital instrument cluster, Bluetooth-based smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, OTA (Over The Air) updates support, geo-fencing, find-my-vehicle, music control, call notification, maintenance reminder, two ride modes (Eco and Power), anti-theft alarm, an underseat USB charging port, boot lamp, apron-mounted glove box & utility hooks, an illuminated key slot with the keyless operation, among others.

Colour Scheme: The Okhi90 is available in four body shades: Glossy Pearl White, Glossy Ash Grey, Glossy Wine Red, and Glossy Jewellery Blue.

Battey Pack and Range: Powering the Okinawa Okhi90 is a belt-driven 3800W centrally-mounted electric motor, linked to a 72V, 50Ah portable li-ion battery pack that offers a claimed range of 160km on a full charge. In Sport mode, the e-scooter can achieve its top speed (90 kmph) from standstill in 10 seconds. The maximum speed is limited to 55-60 kmph in Eco mode.

Standard Warranty: Okinawa is offering a three-year warranty on Okhi90’s battery pack.
