Jeep Grand Cherokee Gets A Price Hike; Expensive By Rs 1 Lakh

Jeep India has increased the price of the Grand Cherokee by Rs 1 lakh. With this, the flagship SUV now costs Rs 78.50 lakh (ex-showroom).

Despite the price hike, the Jeep Grand Cherokee still undercuts most of its competitors, such as the Mercedes-Benz GLE (Rs 88 lakh – Rs 1.05 Cr ), Range Rover Velar (Rs 89.41 lakh), Land Rover Discovery (Rs 93.90 lakh – Rs 1.32 Cr), Audi Q7 (from Rs 84.70 lakh), BMW X5 (Rs 79.90 – 98.50 lakh) and Volvo XC90 (Rs 98.50 lakh).

Jeep Grand Cherokee – A Quick Look

– Grand Cherokee is Jeep’s most expensive SUV in India.

– The brand locally assembles the SUV at its Ranjangaon facility in Pune, Maharashtra.

– The Indian-spec Jeep Grand Cherokee comes in a sole 5-seater LIMITED O variant.

– Jeep offers the Grand Cherokee in four colour options: Bright White, Diamond Black Crystal, Rocky Mountain and Velvet Red.

Jeep Grand Cherokee price in India

– Propelling the Jeep Grand Cherokee is a 2-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine (272PS/400Nm).

– Transmission duties are handled by an 8-speed torque converter automatic and Quadra-Trac 4×4 drive system.

– It also benefits from Jeep’s Selec-Terrain management system.

– As for features, the Indian-spec Grand Cherokee comes loaded up to the brim. Key highlights include: –
