Ather Extends Free Charging Till June 2022

Ather Energy has extended free charging for its customers at all Ather Grid stations (public charging network) till June 30, 2022. Earlier, it was supposed to introduce subscription plans for its charging network from January 1, 2022, onwards.

Currently, the Ather Grid is India's largest fast-charging infrastructure network for electric two-wheelers that is present in 215+ locations in over 21 cities including Mumbai, Bengaluru, Jaipur, Delhi, Chennai, Pune, and Hyderabad. The EV maker is aggressively expanding its reach to new cities.

A few weeks ago, Ather Energy has also introduced its Grid 2.0 in Bengaluru and Chennai. It comes with enhanced safety and faster bug resolution to support future faster-charging capability. The Grid 2.0 also supports Over-the-Air (OTA) updates, allowing the company to push new features & bug fixes to all systems on the field in real-time. Ather claims that Grid 2.0 is more durable to operate under extreme environmental conditions.

The Bengaluru-based EV maker is gearing up to add 500 Ather Grid locations by the end of FY22, with all new installations being Ather Grid 2.0.

In other updates, Ather Energy has recently offered free Ather Connect Services for all its existing and new customers until May 15, 2021. For customers who have already purchased the Connect Lite/Pro subscription pack, the company will refund the amount on a pro-rata basis. Besides, Ather has also commissioned a second manufacturing plant in Hosur (Tamil Nadu) that will be ready by 2022. With this, Ather's annual production capacity will increase to 4,00,000 units from the current 1,20,000.

Ather 450X price in Gujrat

Currently, the Ather 450 Plus and 450X are priced at Rs 1,25,490 and Rs 1,44,500, respectively (ex-showroom Bengaluru, inclusive of FAME II). The price further goes down if you avail the state subsidy.
