All Ather Customers Will Get Free Connectivity Upgrade Till May 2022

Ather Energy, a renowned Bengaluru-based EV manufacturer has announced to offer free Ather Connect services for all its existing and new customers for the next six months. That said, all the customers of the Ather 450, 450 Plus, and 450X will get complete features of the Ather Connect Pro subscription pack free of cost from 15th November 2021 to 15th May 2022. Also, if you already have an active Connect Lite/Pro subscription, the company will reimburse the amount on a pro-rata basis. Generally, the Ather Connect services cost Rs 700/quarter or Rs 2,400/year (both excluding GST).

Ather has stated that it will take a couple of weeks for the refund system to come into effect and that the customers will be informed once the process starts.

As mentioned above, the Ather Connect subscription comes in two packs – Lite and Pro. While the Ather Connect Lite scheme comes with only onboard navigation and Over-The-Air (OTA) update support, the Pro plan also offers remote location tracking, remote charge monitoring, ride statistics, and push location from the Ather smartphone app.

Speaking about this new initiative, Tarun Mehta, co-founder and CEO of Ather Energy said – "Connectivity and EVs go hand in hand: something we have believed in from day 1. With the market growing at an unprecedented pace, we are opening connectivity features on all Ather Energy scooters free of cost for the next 6 months for our owners." He further stated that "We have an ambitious plan of making the entire mobility exp hassle-free with Ather Connect – stitching everything from route planning, navigation, charging, servicing, & customization. Expect several changes as we improve quality, rebuild the UI and launch several new features."
