VinFast VF3, VF8 and VF9 Showcased At The Auto Expo 2025

Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) maker VinFast is gearing up to enter the Indian market. In this thread, the brand has showcased some of its global cars at the ongoing Auto Expo 2025, including the VF3, VF8 and VF9.

VinFast V3 India Launch Date

The Vinfast VF3 is the brand’s smallest electric offering, measuring 3190mm in length, with a wheelbase of 2075mm. That makes it 340mm lower than the Alto K10. This 3-door compact SUV has a retro-inspired design, featuring a boxy silhouette with 191mm of ground clearance. The bumpers, side mirrors and wheel arches are finished in black, while the rear end is almost flat, giving it a muscular and rugged appeal.

The interior is minimalistic, with amenities like a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple Carplay and Android Auto support, panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, keyless entry, and more.

Powering this tiny SUV is a 32kW rear-axle mounted electric motor that produces a peak torque output of 110Nm, enabling it to sprint from 0 to 50 kmph in 5.3 seconds. Drawing its charge from an 18.64kWh lithium-ion battery, the VF3 claims a range of around 215 km on a single charge.

VinFast VF8

The Vinfast VF8 is a mid-size electric SUV that boasts a sleek design, advanced technology and impressive performance. Globally, it is available in two variants: Eco and Plus, both come paired with a dual-motor setup offering all-wheel drive capabilities. It offers a combined output of 348HP/500Nm in Eco variant and 402HP and 620Nm in Plus variant. It is claimed to offer an estimated range of 420-471 km (WLTP).

Vinfast VF9

The Vinfast VF9 is a full-size 3-row SUV that sports a modern design inside and out, with key amenities including a large 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, vegan leather upholstery, ambient lighting, a large panoramic glass roof, 11 airbags, and ADAS suite.

Globally, the VF9 is being offered with a massive 123 kWh battery pack, paired with a dual-motor AWD setup producing a peak output of 408PS and a range of up to 531 km. The EV can be fast charged from 10 to 70% in just 35 minutes.
