Toyota Taisor Teased; Debut On April 3

Toyota India has provided a glimpse of its upcoming offering, the Taisor, which is essentially the Maruti Suzuki Fronx-based crossover. It is expected to make its debut on April 3, 2024, followed by the price announcement in the coming weeks.

Toyota Taisor – What To Expect?

As seen in the teaser image, the Toyota Teaser has a similar silhouette to its Maruti counterpart. However, it features Toyota Hyryder-like LED DRLs and a grille that is differently designed than the Fronx. It is also expected to feature revised bumpers and new alloys to distinguish itself from the Maruti Suzuki Fronx.

While Toyota has yet to reveal the interior of the car, we expect it to remain similar to the Fronx, save for the potentially lighter interior colour scheme for a premium feel.

When it comes to features, the Toyota Taisor is expected to be as feature-rich as the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. Having said that, it should comprise an LED lighting system, auto headlamps, a 9-inch floating touchscreen infotainment with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, connected car tech, a heads-up display, automatic AC, rear AC vents, wireless charger, cruise control, height-adjustable driver’s seat, 360-degree camera, electrochromic IRVM, six airbags, ESC, hill assist, and more.

Mechanically, the Taisor is likely to be equipped with the same engine options as the Fronx. This includes a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol with an optional CNG kit and 1-litre turbocharged petrol. Depending on the engine choice, transmission options include manual, AMT and torque converter automatic units.
