Toyota Innova Hycross Non-Hybrid Version Gets A New Variant

The petrol-only Toyota Innova Hycross gets a new range-topping GX(O) variant. It is offered in both 7- and 8-seater configurations. Toyota has yet to reveal its prices. We expect it to command a premium of around Rs 70,000 over the GX variant.

Toyota Innova Hycross GX(O) โ€“ Whatโ€™s New?

Positioned as the top-of-the-line variant for the non-hybrid version, the new Toyota Innova Hycross GX(O) trim gets a host of additional features over the GX variant. These include

  • LED fog lamps
  • A larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto
  • Dual-tone interior with soft-touch material finish
  • Automatic AC
  • Front parking sensors
  • A 360-degree camera
  • Rear sunshade
  • Rear defogger

Besides, features like dual LED automatic headlamp, powered side mirrors, height-adjustable driverโ€™s seat, rear AC vents, day/night IRVM, 6 airbags, vehicle stability control, hill start assist, electronic parking brakes with auto hold, reverse parking camera, ISOFIX anchors, etc, will continue to be on offer.

Toyota Innova Hycross GX(O)

Toyota Innova Hycross GX(O) โ€“ Engine Specifications

Underneath the hood, the Innova Hycross GX(O) gets the 2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that makes 173PS of max power and 209Nm of peak torque. Mated to a CVT automatic transmission, it powers the front wheels of the MPV.

Toyota also offers the Hycross with an 184PS 2-litre hybrid powertrain. However, it is not available with the GX(O) variant.

Rivals

The Innova Hycross has no direct rival in the Indian market. It can be seen as a premium alternative to the Toyota Innova Crysta.
