Tata Motors is all set to unveil the facelifted Tigor on September 25, 2026, under the new name “AERIS”. The carmaker has also released the first teaser of the updated sedan, showcasing some of its exterior bits.
Tata Aeris (Tigor Facelift): What Does The Teaser Reveal?
The official teaser of the upcoming Tata Aeris showcases the sedan’s front fascia partially, featuring slim LED headlamps with sleeker LED DRL strips above them. It also reveals LED fog lamps, a new purple exterior shade and a cleaner bumper design with black treatment for the airdam.
The teaser also confirms redesigned LED taillights and conventional pull-type door handles for the updated sedan. Furthermore, the sedan will continue to feature a notchback-style tapering roofline similar to the existing Tigor.Â
Other Expectations
Expect the upcoming Tata Aeris to also feature new 15-inch alloy wheels and a connected LED tail lamp setup, along with “AERIS” badging on the tailgate.
Inside, we expect it to feature a similar dashboard layout as the existing Tiago, albeit with a different cabin colour scheme. It will also feature two freestanding screens for infotainment and the instrument cluster. Expect the Aeris to also get new amenities like dual wireless charging pods, a 360-degree camera with blind-spot monitoring, and probably a single-pane electric sunroof.
Other key amenities will include automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, steering-mounted controls, height-adjustable driver’s seat, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car tech, auto AC, rear AC vents, keyless entry with push-button start/stop, 6 airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, hill assist and much more.

Engine Details
The Aeris is likely to carry forward the Tigor’s existing engine options: a 1.2-litre petrol, with an optional factory-fitted dual-cylinder CNG kit. Both of these powertrain choices come with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT.
It is also expected to be offered in an all-electric version, with the current Tigor EV’s 26kWh battery pack.
Price and Rivals
Prices are likely to go upwards with this facelift version. For reference, the Tata Tigor is currently priced between Rs 5.55 lakh and Rs 8.84 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Tigor EV is priced from Rs 12.49 lakh to Rs 13.75 lakh (both ex-showroom prices). Expect the Aeris EV to also be offered with a battery-as-a-subscription (BaaS) option for a lower upfront cost.
