Toyota India has finally unveiled the mighty Hilux 4×4 pickup truck in India. Its pre-launch bookings are now underway, while deliveries will begin from March 2022. Though it falls in a niche segment, it has a distinct following and the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross was enjoying its exclusivity in this segment till now. So, here we have compared these two lifestyle vehicles to see which one is the better, at least on paper:-

The Hilux comes with Fortuner’s 204PS 2.8-litre diesel engine that is 51PS/140Nm more powerful and torquier than the V-Cross’ 1.9-litre unit. However, the Isuzu also offers the V-Cross with 4×2 drivetrain options.

The Hilux is clearly better equipped than the V-Cross. It would have been better if Isuzu had offered the V-Cross with more off-road features.
Price Range
Prices of the Toyota Hilux 4×4 pickup truck will be announced in March 2022. However, the brand is likely to price it between Rs 25 lakh and Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom). If it does, it will be much more expensive than the D-Max V-Cross (Rs 19.05 lakh to Rs 25.59 lakh).
