Toyota Kirloskar Motors has discontinued the Innova Crysta Touring Sport. It was launched in 2017 to celebrate the first anniversary of the new generation Innova Crysta in the Indian market.

The Innova Crysta Touring Sport model was a sportier-looking version of the Innova MPV with cosmetic enrichments which mainly included glossy black grille, blacked-out 16-inch alloy wheels, smoked headlamps & fog lamps, ‘Touring Sport’ badge on the tailgate, and a black plastic strip at the rear which seems to connect the tail lamps. Inside, it featured black upholstery with contrast red stitching and burgundy-red faux wood finishing on the dash.

Touring Sport model was available in two color options (Wildfire Red and White Pearl Crystal Shine) and with two engine options (2.4-liter diesel and 2.7-liter petrol) before being axed. It was priced between Rs 19.53 lakh and Rs 24.67 lakh (ex-showroom).

It is important to note that Toyota is still offering the Innova Crysta Leadership Edition, which exclusively comes in dual-tone paint schemes. It is based on the VX variant. Like the Touring Sport model, it also features black alloy wheels, glossy black grille, smoked headlamps, and all-around body cladding with Leadership Edition badges on front fenders.

On the inside, it gets a blacked-out interior with a black roof lining, black seat covers with Leadership badging, and captain seats for the second row.

360 degree camera

The Leadership Edition shares its features list with the VX variant and additionally, it also gets auto-folding ORVMs and a 360-degree camera. It is to be noted that Toyota does not offer a 360-degree camera even in the top-spec ZX variant of Innova Crysta.

Innova Leadership Edition is only available with a 2.4-litre diesel engine (150PS/343Nm), mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Currently, it is priced at Rs 21.51 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), which is Rs 62,000 more than the Innova Crysta VX trim (diesel-manual).

In other news, Toyota is expected to launch a facelift version of Innova Crysta in India. It is likely to get some minor cosmetic updates with additional features. A few days ago, the Japanese maker has showcased it in Indonesia. To know more about the upcoming facelifted Innova, click here
