The Tiago is one of the most popular offerings from Tata Motors in India. The brand has recently added a new Arizona Blue exterior colour option in its lineup that has replaced the older Tectonic Blue shade which was lighter in contrast. This new darker ivory has been borrowed from its sedan sibling, the Tigor. It looks somewhat similar to Safari's Blue Color.
The new Arizona Blue shade will be available for all the variants. With this, the Tiago continues to be available in a total of six colours options, including Victory Yellow, Flame Red, Pearlescent White, Daytona Grey, and Pure Silver. Like the other colors, this new shade can also be treated with a contrasting black roof and ORVMs in the top-spec XZ+ and XZA+ trims.
Apart from the introduction of a new exterior paint scheme, no other changes have been made to the car. It continues to be available in seven variants: XE, XT, XTA, XZ, XZA, XZ+, and XZA+, which are priced between Rs 4.85 lakh to Rs 6.84 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Tiago draws its power from a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine (86PS/113Nm), mated to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) unit. Key features onboard include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, an 8-speaker sound system, auto climate control, multifunction steering wheel, height-adjustable driver seat, fully digital instrument cluster, cooled glovebox, 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, rear defogger with washer & wiper, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, corner stability control, rear parking sensors with camera, etc.
In the compact hatchback segment, the Tata Tiago goes up against the Hyundai Santro (Rs 4.67-6.35 lakh), Datsun GO (Rs 4.02-6.51 lakh), Maruti Suzuki Celerio (Rs 4.53-5.78 lakh), and the Wagon R (Rs 4.65-6.18 lakh).
