The Tata Nexon is one of the most feature-loaded SUVs in its class. However, the recent launch of the Mahindra XUV 3XO, boasting several segment-first features, has further prompted competitors to consider some feature upgrades. In response, Tata Motors is expected to upgrade the Nexon with a panoramic sunroof. Recently, a video of the Nexon has surfaced online on a factory floor equipped with a panoramic sunroof. Currently, the Nexon has a single-pane electric sunroof, which is available from the Smart+ S variant.
Although the addition of a panoramic sunroof might already have been in Nexon’s development pipeline, Tata could potentially expedite its launch to stay competitive in response to rivals’ recent advancements. While it’s not official, the panoramic sunroof feature could be limited to its higher-spec trims.
Besides the panoramic sunroof, the Nexon could also receive some advanced driver assistance systems. Currently, the Mahindra XUV 3XO, Hyundai Venue, and Kia Sonet come with an ADAS suite.
In other news, Tata is slated to introduce Nexon CNG this year. The carmaker is also expected to introduce the Altroz Racer next month, which is actually the performance-oriented version of the standard hatchback.
