Tata Nexon, Harrier and Safari Red Dark Editions To Launch Tomorrow

Tata Motors has announced to launch the Red Dark Edition models of Nexon, Harrier and Safari SUVs tomorrow. Compared to their standard models, the special editions will flaunt a host of cosmetic changes as well as a few new features.

Ruler of the road - Arriving Tomorrow

For those who aren’t aware, Tata Motors has already showcased the Harrier and Safari Red Dark Editions at the 2023 Auto Expo. They feature an all-black colour scheme with #Dark badging on the front fenders, red inserts in the grille and red brake callipers. Inside, they get bright red upholstery and a Carnelian Red theme. Expect the Tata Nexon Red Dark Edition also to feature similar changes.

As for features, the flagship Harrier and Safari SUVs will receive red ambient lighting, a 10.25-inch touchscreen system with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, a 360-degree surround view system, memory function for the powered driver’s seat, powered co-passenger seat (Safari Red Dark only), powered Bose mode (Safari Red Dark only), and Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS). Save for the ADAS, the Nexon Red Dark Edition is also expected to get all the aforementioned features.

Underneath the bonnet, all the Red Dark Edition models will remain unchanged. The Harrier and Safari duo comes with a 2-litre diesel engine (170PS/350Nm) with 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options. On the other hand, the Tata Nexon can be had with either a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol (120PS/170Nm) or a 1.5-litre diesel (110PS/260Nm) engine. Both mills get a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed AMT.

Considering all these changes, the Red Dark Editions of these Tata SUVs will command a significant premium over their standard counterparts.

In other news, Tata has also started accepting bookings for the upgraded Harrier and Safari that will come with ADAS active safety tech. Click here for more details.
